It's official. Miss Abbie can now reach all interior doorknobs, open the doors, and turn the lock.
Michael and I were both in our kitchen this weekend when Abbie ran into our bedroom (right off of the kitchen), closed the door, and turned the lock. I am just glad Michael was home because I probably would have forgotten how easily you can unlock the bedroom doors.
This new development just completely changes how I feel about our house. It used to be so easy to keep Abbie out of anything we didn't want her in by simply closing the door. I also have a tendency to leave her in the kitchen each morning while I load up my car, but now I am very paranoid that she will lock me out of the house since my keys (and my daughter) are some of the last things I grab.
Oh, toddlers keep you so entertained!!!
Here is a picture that was actually just taken yesterday (Tuesday) morning. I have a spare booster seat to take to my dad's house that I had just thrown over to the side in our laundry room. I was loading up the car, as usual, and I came back in to find Abbie trying to lock herself in the booster seat. Maybe she was hungry?
