Abbie is totally my kid when it comes to mornings. Michael has learned that you cannot talk to me until I have had at least 1/2 my cup of coffee, and we have both learned that you cannot look at, talk to or touch (definitely don't touch!) Abbie until she has finished her cup of chocolate milk each morning. One of us will go get her and bring her into our bed while we watch TV and we just ignore her until she finishes.
Today she finished a cup and then held the cup out in the air for Michael to come get it from her. We have been trying to teach her to NOT throw her cup when done, so this is a good thing. Michael was clear across the room, getting ready for work, so I tried to take it, but she refused me and still held it out for Michael.
He came over to her and grabbed the cup, so Abbie just looked at him and said, "Tank you" as sweet as can be. It was soooo cute! She always requires a little prompting from us for the "please" or "thank you" remarks, so Michael just laughed and said it totally made it worth his while to come get her cup.
