Yard Work Has Never Been This Fun!!

I have always hated yard work. But since my husband has worked some weird hours lately and it has rained when he had planned to cut grass, our yard had gotten rather fuzzy. Our shrubs were looking awful, so all three of us loaded up on water, lathered on the sunblock, and took to the yard this Saturday morning. I won't bore you with the details, so just enjoy a few pictures:


I tried to get Abbie to show off her pigtails, but she kept turning away from me and laughing hysterically about it.

I came around to the other side of her, and she still turned away!


This was the only shot I got where you can actually make out part of her face. Isn't she a cutie?!?!


This was part of the highlight of my day! Yes, my husband used my daughter's sandbox toys to scoop up the prickly shrubs that I was chopping off. How funny is that?!?!


I get the giggles all over again when I see him using her BRIGHT toys. It was hilarious!!!

Also, in case you missed my FaceBook status update, Abbie locked us out of the house Saturday. Well, kinda. She was bored after about 15 minutes outside, so I set up all the baby gates and opened up our blinds and put her in our living room so I could keep an eye on her while I stayed outdoors. About 2 seconds after I closed the door, Abbie turned the lock on me. Little sneak!!! I almost had a stroke until Michael remembered that our garage was still open, so we were able to get in the back of the house. Cheeky little monkey.
