I cannot believe I ever doubted the need for a bouncy seat! Call it what you want: bouncy chair, bouncy seat, bouncer, etc...it is fabulous! They come in all different types, colors, fabrics, and sizes. If I can recommend one thing, please get one that has a removable, machine-washable cover!!!
Abbie's appetite changes each day. Some days it's as if she is bored with all bottles presented to her and other days she acts as though she is famished every two hours. Sunday was the latter. My husband and I decided to try cold formula after we both noticed that she seemed to drink more and play less once her bottle was about 30-45 minutes old. Previously, she wanted them warm, so I tested it on Sunday and sure enough, she inhaled a cold bottle! Yea! No more playing!!! Well, she must have gotten too excited that afternoon because she ended up spitting up (I use that terminology loosely) at least four ounces of formula that night all in her bouncy seat! Well, her seat, her face, her outfit, her bib...you get the idea. But when the chair cover was still not dry the following morning (machine wash, lay flat to dry), I realized how much we had truly come to rely on it. I will put her in it to take her from one room to the next. She sits in it while I do dishes, put on makeup, get dressed....I still cannot believe I ever doubted that we would need a bouncy chair!!!
Well, the seat is dry now and all is once again right in Abbie's world.
In other news, Abbie's newest thing to do is to smack loudly and gnaw on her fist when she is hungry. She starts this process while she is still asleep and it is adorable!!! If you are an adult, DO NOT SMACK! But Abbie can totally pull it off!
Also, after the spit-up fiasco last night, Abbie got a nice warm bath and was in bed by 8. She slept until 2:30 and was back in bed by 3 and did not wake again until 6 this morning. That is a phenomenal night, in my humble opinion!!! Let's pray for a repeat performance (if not even better) tonight!!!! Have to run now. I hear smacking nearby....

Our bouncy seat was a lifesaver at this age too! So glad to hear she's doing well! Love the updates!
