Do you see it? Granted, it is still a small mark, but there is already a pinkish-purplish mark on Abbie's left cheekbone. And I caused it. Me. The mother that loves her more than life itself.Tonight I was going into Abbie's bathroom to put some things up in a lower cabinet that I allow her to get into, but I did not realize she was right on my heels. You know, that silent following only toddlers seem to be capable of??? Sure enough, I turned around quickly and BAM! I knocked Abbie over backwards, where she toppled over her potty, causing a mark on her back and then she hit her head on the lid of her potty.
Good grief!!!! I don't even like to hurt Abbie's feelings, but here I go knocking her brains out!
OK, I am exaggerating. I mean, the fall happened exactly like that, and she did cry for about 45 seconds, but then she was fine.
But as my husband so politely pointed out, "that's gonna leave a mark."

I'm going to turn you into DHR for being such a terrible mother!
:)
One of the worst things I ever did to Jackson was when I was trying to buckle him into his carseat when he was about 4 months old, and at the last possible second he lowered his head and I pinched the fire out of his neck with the car seat buckle. On that occasion, the crying lasted much longer than 45 seconds!
