Rolling and Growling

OK, not much time...

However, I did want to let everyone know that Abbie began rolling from her tummy to her back on Sunday. The first time she did it - well, it was so fast that I thought I must have helped her because I had literally just laid her down on the floor. But then she did it almost immediately again.
She did this several more times throughout the day and rolled to both her left and right sides.

Yea!!!

Unfortunately, her daddy missed it, but I managed to catch the third time she did it on video, so he got to watch that as soon as he got home. And as luck would have it, she has NOT done it in his presence yet...but that's probably because he's been coming home later than usual and when I lay her down to try, she just lays her head on her hands and closes her eyes.

What else is Abbie doing that is new and exciting?? Oh, that is right...she growls! Most kids have this sweet little 'ah' or 'ooo' sound that comes out often, but not my daughter..she growls. Actually, it kinda sounds like a pirate noise. Like, "Argh!" She makes her voice all raspy and growls at us.

Adorable? I think so!

With the occasional morning where Abbie wakes at 4 am thinking it is time to get up for the day, she mostly sleeps through the night now (fingers crossed for tonight!). And she also seems to strictly enforce her own 8:30 bedtime. Again, I'd be fine if she stayed up another hour at this age, but she just lays her head down at about 8:25. She will even fuss a little and rub her eyes profusely if you keep her up past 8:30. But the second you lay her down, she just looks up at you, as if to say, "Thank you! I was so tired of you people and just need my space!"

That, I'm sure, she got from me! :)

As for eating, she is daddy's little girl! She picks her veggies over fruits! Bananas and applesauce required her to warm up to them, but even green beans and squash were eaten up as quickly as I could shovel them to her!

Alright, it's been a long week already and it is only Tuesday! I'm going to play around for a few minutes to see if I can upload some video, but if it takes too long, I'll likely throw in the towel. Have a great week, everyone!
