I know! I know! I don't post frequently enough.
I just got off the phone with my mother and she said at the very least I should post some snow pictures. So I'll do that down below.
Abbie will be 4 months old as of this upcoming Saturday, so I'll be sure to take some pictures of her that day as well. And her next doctor's visit is on Wednesday, March 11th. I will be sure to post a few details of that. I don't want her growing up too fast, but I am excited about the appointment. It's always fun to see how much she weighs, how tall she is getting and how she seems to be developing overall. I also cannot wait to pick the doctor's mind for input on Abbie's sleeping. The child is her mother made over. Sleep? Who needs it?!?! Wait, her mother does. IRONY!
Abbie is in no way predictable when it comes to daytime naps. Sometimes she takes 10 or 15-minute naps off and on all day. Other times she will take one 2-hour nap and nothing else. She will fall asleep at night any where from 7:30 to 9:30 (I prefer later). She was sleeping almost exactly 6 hours at a time for a week or so, and then she had one awful night this week. Last night, for example, she fell asleep around 9:15 and woke up at 2 am. She inhaled a bottle and then wanted to play. She is so cute in the middle of the night, which only irritates me more! Don't be cute in the middle of the night!!! I'm not as young as I thought I was...I NEED SLEEP!
Last night, after I had put her back into the crib, she chatted and played for half an hour or so, then started whining. I woke up her daddy and told him to get her or I'd kick them both out (he finds my middle-of-the-night breakdowns cute, believe it or not).
Well, I watched on the video monitor (yes, I'm still addicted!) as her daddy walked in the room. Abbie did her usual bit: she quits fussing the second she hears the door and starts grinning and kicking her feet with excitement. Only this time, literally as her daddy peered over the crib to see her, she CLOSED HER EYES. She, honestly, fell asleep as he was preparing to pick her up.
I could have killed them both.
My husband found it hilarious! It was like she just needed to see him, make sure I had not kicked him out of the house or something, and then she could ease into a peaceful slumber.
Dads and daughters...it's so annoying when you are the mother!
Now I've got to run so I can call my dad and whine about it!!!

Abbie and her mommy (that's me!) this past Sunday in our back yard.
She was a complete and total drama queen about the snow. She kept inhaling, sharply,
every time the snow would hit her face. She lasted, oh, about 30 seconds outside.
