Well, Abbie has at least learned how to tell us when she is ready for bed. About five minutes after her bath, she will rub her eyes, then throw her face onto my shoulder, and try to rub her eyes some more. So she did that tonight, about 10 minutes ago. I had just read her a teeny-tiny book so I went and laid her down. I leaned down to tell her, "I love you. Daddy loves you. Sleep tight tonight and me and Daddy will both see you tomorrow morning...after the sun comes up".
To those last five words, Abbie gives me a huge grin.
I could not help but laugh. It was as if she wanted to say, "Sure, Mommy...keep telling yourself that! See you in five hours!"
