Hangin' with the Boys.....again

I've been trying to tell everyone that Abbie is already all about the boys.

So, today I went to drop Abbie off at daycare and I carried her and her bag of bottles inside and placed her in a...well, I still don't know what it is called. It has a stationary circular table that basically has a swivel bucket-type seat (Mom, ya dig it?) that she can push herself around the table. Not sure if that makes sense, but know that she can basically only send herself around in circles while playing with the attached toys on the table, and that she loves it!

At any rate, I place her inside of this thingy and I go back outside to grab her car seat and some diapers to replenish her drawer. It should be noted that "the twins", as I call them, were crawling around the teacher's feet, clear across the room, when I dropped Abbie off. Seriously, like 15 feet or more away from Abbie. The twins are boys and are about 2 months or so older than Abbie, so they are quick little crawlers and able to pull themselves up quite nicely.

Anyway, I was gone, maybe, a minute when I came back in her room. One of the twins was down by Abbie's feet helping push her around in her little seat and the other had pulled himself up to the table. One on either side of her. And what was Abbie doing? Laughing like crazy!!! She was doing her little excited jig she does now where she kinda jumps up and down and pumps her fists up in the air, all while laughing at both of the boys. She has this new funny-sounding laugh too and it was abundantly clear that the girl was having fun.

I immediately started laughing, causing Abbie's teacher to look up. Our quick conversation went like this:

Me: Hanging with boys already, huh?

Teacher: Oh, yeah...she loves being with the boys.

Me: (giggling like a little girl) Oh, daddy will not like that!

Teacher: Daddy will get over it

HA! I called out to Abbie who looked up at me, grinned, and then looked right back down to her boys. I was still laughing when I got to work. Of course, I had to call Michael and tell him. He was not impressed.

So, fast forward to the end of my oh-so-crappy day. I called Michael on my way home, knowing he had enough time to have picked up Abbie and be on the way home, and asked how my baby was doing.

Michael: (Please note the sarcasm) Great! No, really...great! She had a whole swarm of boys around her when I got there! I was pulling them away, kicking them...whatever!

Me: Seriously? She was really surrounded by boys?

Michael: Yeah! And then one of the ladies told me "Oh, the boys just love Abbie!"

Again, I was laughing hysterically and good ol' Michael was soooo not impressed! And it was a different lady that made the comment this afternoon than this morning. (Yes, we know their names, but perhaps they don't want to be blogged about, eh?)

So I am guessing you know by now that I have spent the evening teasing Michael about his boy-crazed daughter! And to think, we thought we got to wait until she was a teenager to worry about all the boys!!!!!

Michael better hold on, cause he's gonna be in for a long, bumpy ride with Abbie!
