Quick update: Abbie now has her second tooth, loves to sit up all the time, and can now reach the floor in her walker at home with both feet. Abbie has been able to reach in the walkers at her daycare, but the one at home was still a little too tall...until recently! But she only pushes herself backwards, and then whines when she reaches an obstacle.
Now about that sitting up she does....that is all she wants to do!!!!! She is so happy if you just plop her down on the floor, throw some toys in front of her, and leave her alone. This works out great in her carpeted bedroom because even if she topples over, which is rare now, she has carpet to fall back on. But I am reluctant to do this much anywhere else in the house, where we have either tile or hardwood, so tonight I decided to set up a pallet in the kitchen and bring out the ol' Boppy to set around her so she would have plenty of cushion. Now, while we once used the Boppy around the clock, it has been setting in the corner of the living room for months now because she hates to lay down while she takes a bottle. Little did I know..she missed the Boppy!!! I sat her on the floor and brought out the Boppy and oh, how her face lit up!!! She kept rolling to her sides to grab and hug the Boppy, while making loud "oooooh" sounds. She was grinning the entire time. I had my cell nearby so I was able to catch a quick shot of her running her hands up and down the Boppy.
If I had known she would miss it so much, I would have pulled it out sooner!!!!

I, too, have put up "baby toys" in the past, but only to find that Carter LOVES to "discover" them weeks or months later, and he quickly lets me know that those toys aren't "baby toys" after all.
Enjoyed the post---Love the picture!
